Efficient cable fixing solutions that reduce costs in rail vehicles

A typical high-speed rail vehicle has over 200 km of cable – about as much as a contemporary passenger jet – and that demands fast and efficient installation to reduce production costs. Paul Cocheril, our Railway Market Manager for EMEA, demonstrates three innovative C-parts that save time and cost in rail vehicles.
First up, he demonstrates the advantages of the One-Click Mount, a pre-assembled two-piece fixing tie, supplied with the cable tie already inserted. The foot of the mount is simply clicked into the oval hole of the panel and the harness fixed in place with the cable tie, easily and without requiring tools. Paul's second hidden champion is the EdgeClip, used for parallel routing of cable horizontally or vertically, especially when drilling holes or using adhesives is not desirable. And thirdly, Paul shows how costs can be saved using the Ratchet P-Clamp, a heavy-duty re-openable mount with ratchet closure for a wide range of bundle diameters. It is made from impact modified, heat and UV-stabilized PA66 for rugged indoor and outdoor applications, and has inserts for convoluted tubing.
